A Catholic charitable initiative

Any teen can get a Bible. Not every teen gets a great one.

A $5 Bible from a printing company and a Great Adventure Bible from Ascension Press are not the same thing. One sits on a shelf. One changes a life. The Faith Bank exists to put the right materials — built by Catholics, for Catholics — into the hands of teens whose families can't stretch to the good ones.

Why This Matters Now

63% of young Catholics stop identifying as such by age 17.

Most Bibles sit unopened because they feel dry or outdated. Put something built for a teen's heart and mind in their hands instead, and we see eyes light up — that's the gift that can start a lifelong relationship with Christ. The Faith Bank, founding thesis
I.

Quality, not quantity.A Bible packed with real theology, written for young people. A rosary that survives daily use, not one that snaps in two days because it was made cheap. Materials made with love hold up — and kids notice the difference.

II.

Built into the classroom, not left in a drawer. Our partner school has agreed to incorporate these Bibles and materials directly into curriculum — so your gift becomes daily formation, not a one-time handout.

III.

Every cent reaches the school.Donations are processed directly through our partner school's giving page. I never touch the funds — and every gift is tax-deductible.

Our Story

Why I started The Faith Bank

I grew up active in my parish — serving at the altar, teaching RCIA, leading our Archdiocesan Youth Council. Along the way I kept meeting teens who wanted to go deeper in their faith but didn't have a Bible that spoke to them, a rosary built to last, or the means to get either.

I know what teens respond to. Most Bibles sit unopened because they feel dry or outdated — but hand someone a Bible that's actually written for them, packed with real theology, and you see something change. That's the gift that can start a lifelong relationship with Christ. So I started The Faith Bank to put quality materials directly in their hands, working with Ascension Press and Rugged Rosaries to make sure what we give is built with love, not made cheap.

Every donation runs straight through our partner school's giving page — I never touch a cent — and the school has agreed to weave these materials into curriculum, so they're used every day, not left in a drawer.

Manny Campos

Founder — The Faith Bank  ·  Houston, TX

I'm 18 years old and a freshman at the University of St. Thomas in Houston. I started The Faith Bank because I kept meeting teenagers with Bibles they never opened — cheap ones, mass-produced by printing companies with no formation intention behind them. A family can afford a $5 Bible. What they can't always afford is a Great Adventure Bible from Ascension Press — the kind built by Catholics who actually understand how a teenager thinks and what they need to encounter their faith for real. That gap is what The Faith Bank exists to close.

I've been in Catholic ministry since I was young — teaching RCIA for two years, serving at the altar, working as a lector, and leading teens across the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston as Chairman of the Archdiocesan Youth Council. I know what faith formation looks like when it's resourced well, and I know what it looks like when it isn't.

That's why I care so much about quality. A cheap rosary that breaks in two days isn't a gift — it's a missed opportunity. A Bible written for adults isn't going to hold a 14-year-old's attention. The Faith Bank exists to put the right materials in the right hands, and to make sure they actually get used — which is why every partner school agrees to build these resources directly into their curriculum.

I also host The Manny Perspective, a Catholic theology and philosophy podcast for young people, where I've had the privilege of speaking with guests including Cardinal Daniel DiNardo and Bishop Robert Barron.
